This is actually the first team I've heard the words "classy" and "Yankees" used in conjunction. My experience has always been just the opposite. My initial exposure to MLB was as a first grader in the spring of 1959 and it was the Yankees who tended to be favoured by the bigger kids in the schoolyard, i.e. the assholes.
