April Pickup Thread
For the second time in a couple of weeks, I was happily able to really eff up the past sales data sites by grabbing a card for a fraction of what it is clearly 'worth,' and I'm (as we used to say) incredibly psyched!!!
 Last month, it was getting a 1962 Topps 'Green Tint' Ruth for a third of what multiple recent versions went for, and as April was ready to dawn, a consignor somewhere got fooled* (see what I did there?) as I was able to steal this extremely rare 1971 Fleer Update #73 (from Good Humor trucks in 1978, highlighting the unforgettable 1975 World Series) for less than what PSA 8s cost, and for significantly less than what PSA 9s traditionally go for... pickups1971fleer73redsoxreds.jpg *The auction ended at an odd day and time, so my assumption is it flew far beneath the radar of many interested collectors.
