"Whiplash" was great.
Best movie I've seen recently is "Banshees of Inisherin". If you like character studies, gruff Irish lingo, and the caustic chemistry between Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason...then you'll like this one. If you don't care for any of those things...you won't like this one.  Not as fun and a lot more serious then "In Bruges", but still pretty good.
