I think part of why they don't get more interest is that there isn't a good catalog of them.
And that may be because they fin an odd loophole in the licensing. As I remember it, they wanted to do a full set, but couldn't get licensed for MLB but could for the minors. But MLB only licensed sets with more than I think 6 players, so Star did each player individually. And they did lots of "different" similar sets. Regular Stickers Numbered limited edition Signed Eventually super glossy or not. Press runs could be pretty low, or not.... but all the numbers I saw claimed were in dealers ads and may or may not have come direct from the company. |
