Heres my advice. Find a few dealers you trust and talk to them often. It helps to just look at a lot of things to see whats out there and gets you interested. A trusted dealer that is willing to share information is a great asset to learning . Its either that or the School of Hard Knocks. Also see if you can get signed up with some of the big auction houses for their free catalogs..... and just sit and peruse them..... and follow the auctions online without bidding. Im sure you will discover your interests that way..... and with counsel from your dealer friends you may then want to start buying a few things. Most of us have learned from older collectors and dealers along the way ( and are still learning as we go!!) and are willing to share with newer collectors what we have found. Its amazing to me that theres so much out there and so many differing opinions! Good luck and go slowly!! Rocky
