Fun topic. Lots of you of hit on the more well-known ones, so here's my
offering. I'm surprised- I guess that's the proper word- by the number of folks who can't grasp that a card can possess good centering, or be well centered, and not be "perfectly centered". I'm a centering-oriented person, and even I am taken aback by people who say they don't like a card because it's not "perfectly" centered, especially vintage and older. I usually say something to the effect that it seems the person is looking for a card that is a 9, but somehow got trapped in a 7 holder. It's the old Inigo Montoya quote from "Princess Bride"- "I do not think that word means, what you think it means". It's a quirk I suppose ![]() |
