I mentioned this in a previous post, but I had a similar outcome sending a raw OJ to SGC for grading— it cracked down the middle when it was flattened out in the slab.
The good news is that SGC handled it in a very non-jackass manner— they called me when it happened and offered what I thought was fair compensation…  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
