Default Info needed on Sport Magazine Display

Picked this up recently from Scott Gaynor's eBay auction. This advertisement measures a massive 12x15.

Does anyone have something similar?
I'm curious if the magazine themselves created the display or if a store got a few blank boards and glued the image onto it themselves?
You would assume that if the magazine themselves created the ad it would've been printed onto the cardboard and not a page pasted to it.
There are staple holes so It was hanging up at some point as well. Would it have been hanging by the magazines or on display near a window? I'm just not sure.
I believe based off of the image of Red it's early 50s.

Any inputs appreciated!
