Talk about a mixed bag!!
Offered here is a wide variety of relatively sweet or tough-to-find cards for trade. Some are real nice and some (most?) have issues. My preference is to upgrade the stars (and whatnot) in my binder sets from the 60's into the early 1970's. Don't have an exact list of what I need, but offhand I know I can use a sharp cornered 1972 Clemente, for example. Cards like that would be my focus, but there is also a list of things I am generally interested in posted below. I have made a note next to each card to give a quick summation of what's going on. If you have any questions or are interested in talking, give me a shout. I will happily provide more in-depth descriptions, etc. ***Not looking to sell anything, just trade*** Scan 1: 1968 Topps #247 Johnny Bench Rookie Card - Low grade 1972 Topps #195 Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving Rookie Card - OC/slightly miscut on back (Removed) 1970 Topps #150 ‘Broadway Joe’ Namath - Hysterically miscut 1970 Topps #197 ‘Ryan Saves The Day’ - Sweet, but OC 1966 Topps #1 Willie Mays - Frickin’ gorgeous...if you can ignore the wrinkles at his right hand (Removed) 1971 Topps #160 Tom Seaver - Bumped corner, otherwise beautiful (GONE - but may have another one) 1966 Topps #432 Bob Heffner - Awfully-tough-to-find ‘Purple Tree’ variation 1979 Topps #610 Mike Schmidt - Cool ink bleed (GONE - but may have another one) 1972 Topps #686 Steve Garvey - Low grade, but tough high number cardsfortrade4:2201a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2201b.jpg Scan 2: 1964 Topps #570 Bill Mazeroski - Tough high numbered HOF'er 1960 Topps #343 Sandy Koufax - What a freakin’ shame there’s some paper loss on back 1971 Topps #117 Ted Simmons Rookie Card - Real nice (REMOVED - but may have another one?) 1964 Topps #29 Lou Brock - Real nice 1972 Topps #761 Ron Cey Rookie Card - Nicely centered, tough high number (Removed) 1973 Topps #220 Nolan Ryan - OC with a bit of a bend at the corner (GONE - but may have another one) 1977 Burger King #23 Lou Piniella - The impossible-to-find, undisputed key to the oddball set (GONE - but may have another one) 1969 Topps #260 Reggie Jackson Rookie Card - Lower grade, but decently centered 1972 Topps #343 Joe Namath - The king of the 1972 high numbers cardsfortrade4:2202a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2202b.jpg Scan 3: 1966 Topps #303 Indians Team - Beautiful, extremely-tough-to-find ‘No Dot’ variation (GONE - but may have another one) 1968 Topps #45 Tom Seaver - Outside of side-to-side centering, a perfect second year ‘Tom Terrific’ 1969 Topps #95 Johnny Bench - Real nice, but unbekownst to me, a SABOTEUR crossed out the number on back 1974 Topps #473 Willie Mays - The ‘Say-Hey Kid’s’ final card (GONE - but may have another one) 1973 Topps #280 Al Kaline - Talk about a big money card, the ‘Band-Aid’ variation 1971 Topps #625 Lou Brock - Nice and pretty well-centered, but a bit of touched corners 1975 Topps #500 Nolan Ryan - Low grade 1978 Topps #36 Eddie Murray Rookie Card - Mid-to-lower grade (GONE - but may have another one) 1972 Topps #299 Hank Aaron - Real nice, but off-centered cardsfortrade4:2203a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2203b.jpg Scan 4: 1966 Topps #100 Sandy Koufax - Pretty sweet (GONE) 1958 Topps #487 Mickey Mantle All Star - Definitely delicious (REMOVED) 1972 Topps #49 Willie Mays - Nice, but OC (GONE - but may have another one) 1975 Topps #228 George Brett Rookie Card - Not too bad (GONE - but may have another one) 1971 Topps #513 Nolan Ryan - Corner wear on this real tough early 'Ryan Express' card 1967 Topps #600 Brooks Robinson - WYSIWYG with this real tough high number HOF’er 1967 Topps #250 Hank Aaron - Lower grade 1973 Topps #615 Mike Schmidt Rookie Card - Shoulda sent it in in a group sub and gotten a decent grade with an OC qualifier (Removed) 1969 Topps #20 Ernie Banks - Real, real nice (GONE) cardsfortrade4:2204a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2204b.jpg Scan 5: 1965 Topps #160 Roberto Clemente - Low grade, but still an original vintage 'Bob' card 1966 Topps #110 Ernie Banks - Some corner issues, but otherwise nice 1957 Topps #35 Frank Robinson Rookie Card - Lower right corner crease (Removed) 1975 Topps #228 George Brett Rookie Card - Low grade (GONE - but may have another one) 1966 Topps #1 Willie Mays - If condition could be described in terms of a horror flick, this would be ‘The Exorcist’ 1973 Topps #220 Nolan Ryan - Call this one a chocolate chip, because it is semi-sweet (GONE - but may have another one) 1977 Burger King #23 Lou Piniella - The impossible-to-find, undisputed key to the oddball set 1979 Topps #610 Mike Schmidt - Cool ink bleed 1969 Topps #120 Pete Rose - Corner wear cardsfortrade4:2205a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2205b.jpg Scan 6: 1965 Topps #16 Joe Morgan Rookie card - Edge and corner wear, otherwise pretty decent (Removed) 1967 Topps #200 Willie Mays - This card ‘looks’ fantastic, but ‘scangling’ (tilting it in the light) reveals various issues 1973 Topps #174 Rich Gossage Rookie Card - Corner bump for ‘The Goose’ 1966 Topps #215 NL Batting Leaders - Centered, but low grade, trifecta of greats (GONE) 1965 Topps #134 Mantle’s Clutch HR - (We know!! He’s missing Gibby’s pitch!!) Rounded corners, but it’s a frickin’ centered Mantle card 1968 Topps #50 Willie Mays - This would be a beautiful OC card...if some floozy named Linda Gurtler (sp?) hadn’t decided to autograph the back bottom 1974 Topps #456 Dave Winfield Rookie Card - OC, but delectable (GONE - but may have another one) 1967 Topps #55 Don Drysdale - Some surface wear at his neck 1976 Topps #550 Hank Aaron - A real nice final ‘Hammerin’ Hank’ card (GONE) cardsfortrade4:2206a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2206b.jpg Scan 7: 1972 Topps #310 Roberto Clemente ‘In Action’ - Sweet, but OC 1980 Topps #250 Wayne Gretzky - The deliciousness of this second-year ‘The Great One’ card is partially marred by a magic marker slash across the black, scratch-off area. I scream to the heavens!!!! 1972 Topps #49 Willie Mays - Corners 1975 Topps #228 George Brett Rookie Card - Awesome miscut and the card is in otherwise great shape (Removed) 1970 Topps #660 Johnny Bench - Another SABOTEUR inked the back of this otherwise sweet high number 1972 Topps #170 Vida Blue ‘In Action’ - A monster to find anywhere close to being centered 1967 Topps #117 Darrell Brandon - Wicked rare “DI” In The Sky variation 1969 Topps #130 Carl Yastrzemski - Low grade 1968 Milton Bradley #80 Rod Carew - Pretty, pretty nice second-year rarity (GONE) cardsfortrade4:2207a.jpgcardsfortrade4:2207b.jpg Note: I haven't put a specific dollar trade value on any of these cards. It's really just a case of determining (assuming I'm interested in the cards being offered) whether or not it'd be a good move. I am particularly interested in these: • HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's through early 70's (preferably graded, but open to cards in their natural state) • Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, Roberto Clemente, Babe Ruth and Nolan Ryan cards • 1971 Topps Greatest Moments • Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's • 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's • 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape • 1967 Laughlin World Series (with address on back) in high grade • Major HOFer rookie cards • 1954 Bowman BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape • 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape) • And who knows what else? That's it for now, but I'm sure I have plenty of other things, too...

Here's my bucket: https://www.flickr.com/photos/152396...57685904801706 “I was such a dangerous hitter I even got intentional walks during batting practice.” Casey Stengel Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s. Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow. ![]() Last edited by JollyElm; 07-13-2022 at 06:01 PM. |
