Hinchliffe Stadium
Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, NJ is one of the two intact standing Negro League Stadiums. Many stars played there back in the day, including Monte Irwin, Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, Larry Doby and Cool Papa Bell. Being renovated as some of you may have heard. I stopped by this afternoon and snapped the below pictures. Can't go inside; active construction site.
Supposedly they have the money and it will happen. Fingers crossed. To my eyes seems like they have a lot of work to do. I know there has been some controversy where home plate will be situated.
