They have never comprehended how to leave well enough alone. Can't recall one change they've made in the last decade that is for the better (and they've made many changes).
Would love to sit in on one of eBay's corporate meetings, and see how idiotic ideas like this are pitched (and embraced by management). Someone will probably get promoted for "thinking outside the box".
