Punch 1840 1
In response, the "Punch" factory was founded in 1840, by Don Manuel López, owner of J. Valle y Cia, the British market at that time had it among their priorities, at that time the humorous magazine "Punch" was fashionable. whose main character was "Mr. Punch" with tobacco in hand and they decided to put that image in the views of the packages, British smokers liked these cigars because the layers tend to be very careful reddish brown.
