New Member Question - Protocol - Not Leaving the "Sold" Price Up

Hi all - I'm sure this has been answered many, many times before, but what is the reasoning for deleting the final "sold" price? There are a ton of protocol questions I have. I hope you don't mind me asking as I am new to the community.
