Ray chapman 8/18/1920 indians/yankees program only baseball on field death ex++ ruth
Ray chapman remains the only baseball player to die on the field of play or as a result of an incident on the field of play. Carl mays this is the program to game 2 of the 1920 series between the indians and the yankees, there was one program for the series, you as a fan then made your lineup adjustments. This is the program for the second game on aug 18, 1920. Chapman's name has been crossed out, otherwise not scored. Run totals of 4 for ny and 3 for cleveland have been added in run column. Final score 4-3. A few other pencil lineup cross outs on cleveland side but none for yanks. This is also ruth's first year with yanks.
