I thought I'd post a fun item today. For years, I've driven around with Cal Ripken license plates. I actually wanted ORIOLES, but even in Maine they were already taken. When the state of Maine changed plate designs, I replaced my plates with the new style and added this one to my collection. I was able to get Cal to autograph it and gave the other to him as a gift. I don't expect he still has it.
 On more than one occasion, as I've left games, I've witnessed people, not security, taking pictures of my car in the parking lot. A few years ago, I was headed to a Bowie BaySox game and stopped at a traffic light near the stadium. In my rear view mirror, I noticed a lady on her phone wildly pointing as she talked. I can't be 100% sure, but it looked like she was saying, "I'm right behind Cal Ripken". Sorry to disappoint her, but I don't think Cal drives a Subaru with Maine plates. SCAN8522.JPG
