Sent a portion of my lineup card collection ton Goldin to be auctioned off. Some highlights that I think might interest people here:
Includes
- Vintage lineup cards - 1954 Giants, 1955 Dodgers etc
- Rookie season lineup cards - 1955 Clemente (Pirates), 1954 Banks (Cubs), 2012 Trout (Angels) - 1st 4-hit game etc
- Playoffs/WS lineup cards - 1981 Dodgers, 1986 Mets, 1993 Phillies, 2001 Diamondbacks, 2003 Yankees etc
- Milestones - Frank Thomas 500th Home run, Hank Aaaron 50th double, Kenny Lofton 1st career HR etc
- Significant games - Dennis Martinez Perfect game, 1st game after 1994 strike, 1st NY subway interleague series etc.
I know lineup cards are somewhat of a niche market, but they are a game-used item that links directly to the game, and is a fraction of what other game-used pieces would be while remaining super rare. Obviously there are many more card collectors than lineup card collectors, but there are likely at most a handful of Clemente rookie season lineup cards in existence (most got thrown out), compared to many thousand rookie cards.
I appreciate any bids.
