Default 1950s Bowman

I've mentioned this in a few prior posts, but after taking a break from the hobby for several years, I jumped back in several moths ago. I'm a Dodgers fan and those players are my primary focus.

When I got back into the hobby I wasn't sure what era I wanted to collect. Believe me, during the past several months I have bought a few modern and vintage cards, but I still wasn't sure.

I am very much attracted to the design of some modern cards, but found myself going back to the vintage cards.

After a lot of research and evaluating what made me feel good about collecting again, I decided this. I will collect some modern cards, but won't go crazy with the chase. As for vintage cards, although I will collect those that catch my eye, I plan to focus on cards from the 1950s Bowman sets. To me, these cards are simply beautiful.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to gain an appreciation for the combination of this decade and this brand, but better late than never.

Wish me luck.
