Player is Eddie “Doc” Marshall after a lot of research. 1929-32 with Giants. This written to a friend who seems to have been a writer with Sporting News 12-18-29 KEY PART ABOUT HALFWAY DOWN ON FRONT “The only doubt in my mind being the chance that Mr. McGraw might think my way gives me trouble or might sometimes during the future and subsequently consider me less seriously is a candidate for his squad I don’t imagine he considers my underpinnings exactly week since I played two full seasons without any trouble” Cool in that it mentions John McGraw and the hopes he will make the team in 1930 which he did.
