At first glace, I was sure that this was a cover that was removed from a program, but the ad on the back of it kind of threw me off. Why would there be a March 6, 1909 date on the ad when the program would not have been distributed until the date of the Opening Day game, April 12, 1909?
Any chance that this is a promotional ad of some sort that was distributed in the pre-season, before Opening Day? I have not seen this piece in person, so I do not know what kind of stock it is on. Not sure why the photos are coming out sideways either. They look correct on my computer before I upload them. |
