Also has the date "May 2, 1930"

I'm a (self appointed) expert on pre-war game used baseballs, having found a 1917 World Series ball, a Lou Gehrig Foul Ball (sold to a fellow 54er), a 1908 World Series Ball, a 1949 All Star Game Baseball, and a DiMaggio 56 game hit streak Ball) to name a few. All of these having then sold at Major Auction Houses for Premium $$$$ prices. So have ZERO doubts. This ball is the real deal!

Detroit Tigers played the defending and soon to be repeat World Champion Philly Athletics. Hall of Famer Al Simmons 1930 year would be his personal best batting .381
