Default Lou Gehrig Glove Display real or fake?

I was maybe 12 and Mickey Mantle was coming to a store in my area to support some type of recliner chair. It was during the day on a school day. I begged my mom to let me skip school and go in to meet the Mick. My mom was like, no way are you skipping school to meet some ball player. (Even though it was THE MICK). So I said, well why don’t you go. She was like ok. She went to a sporting goods store in the same mall as the Mick was going to be at and bought a ball and had Mick sign it. It is the ONE piece in my collection I will NEVER sell, no matter the price. I look at it today and smile as it reminds me how great my now long passed mother was.

Cheers to all the mothers who support and nurture their kids hobbies even though the moms may not “get it”
