Sonny Stotur is the WINNER. He was the first to respond with the correct answer. DiMaggio wore #9 in his rookie season, 1936. Frank Crosetti wore #5 in 1936. In 1937 DiMaggio wore #5. Ted Williams wore #9 when his rookie season, 1939, officially began (and through out his career). However, there is an interesting "twist" to Ted's uniform number(s).
