Well, the story is more interesting than the reality. He was a lousy hitter in the minors, not even sure why he got the call-up at 18. He did have two seasons where he hit respectably, not great, but possibly with some potential, at age 22 and 23, but instead of progressing at age 24 his numbers tumbled again and that was his last year.

I have to say I am more intrigued by the fact that his MLB appearance was 1963, Tom's first appearance was 1970 and Jim's was 1987, you'd think they were Jim's father and uncle, not his brothers!
