They do it for coins, but think just how many millions of cards they grade and how long it already takes. You think they could scan every card and not increase pricing and timelines? They're nice enough to let us scan our own cards and upload them. And they track previous sales on their Auction Prices realized tool, or you can check VCP/Worthpoint for previous sales to photomatch on.
If I was interested in this card, I'd message the seller with the offer to pay for them to send it to PSA for a reholder to the new flip/holder. If PSA completes the reholder, pay them in full for $5,000. If they balk at sending it back to PSA, the holder has been compromised and the card's not real.
