Well that solves the mystery as to who got it! I was the under-bidder, and was immediately regretful I didn't go higher. I think you really scored at that price. Congrats, Greg, on an amazing pickup.
Yeah, pretty sure it's football. The Bum was probably so darned popular in Brooklyn, that they just carried him over to the Football Team. While perhaps not the "official mascot" these things weren't as closely sanctioned back then. It could have been made as a "tongue in cheek" ironic humor kind of thing. But regardless of why/how the made it... It's insanely rare and very cool.
