I don't collect Donruss but have several Topps cards from different years in which on a recurring basis there appear to be clouds in some versions of a players card, but not in most. For me it is hard to tell if they represent a recurring print defect in some runs or instances where Topps made an intentional change to the card. For my purposes it does not matter since I collect variations and recurring variant print defects.

It does look like in your cards the clouds may have been part off the initial photo and edited out, but why would they bother with that. Is the cloud version recurring and if so what % of the cards on eBay or COMC have clouds versus do not have them ?

Ironically, the Jack Morris card is one of the toughest cards needed to complete the Topps 1982 Blackless set, especially in complete Blackless form.

Does anyone out there have an air brush ?
