I recently won a T206 Red Cobb on eBay. It was pretty beat up, especially the back, so I'm not sure how many people would even notice the factory number. But I received it today and noticed it's a Sweet Cap Factory 42 (not overprint), which is ranked as 23rd rarest on T206 Resource.
My question is how rare do backs have to be for there to be any kind of premium on them? I personally couldn't care less about backs let alone the factory number, but is there any small premium paid for these Factory 42s versus, say, the most common Sweet Cap back? Just in general, how rare does a back have to be for you guys to be willing to pay slightly more for a card? Share your thoughts. Thanks!
