Default 1938 Mr. Bowman and His Cards... One of the Coolest Photos Yet!

I found this over the summer while looking through stacks of photos in an archive in Texas and thought it was really cool and had to share it. Apparently in 1938 Mr. Bowman (founder of Playball cards and Bowman gum) got into some hot water with his trading card set "Horrors of War" when he shipped the cards to Hawaii and they were seized as "propaganda". In response to the situation, a photographer went to his factory and photographed him with his cards, VERY early in life and did a story.

Here is the original 1938 photograph of Bowman surrounded by millions of dollars worth of Horrors of War cards including sheets, packs, unopened boxes and singles. We thought for sure you guys would like this image as much as I did. Enjoy.

Also (shameless Plug) this photo and 1243 others are now up for bidding in the latest RMY Auctions December Premier Auction. (Lot 312)
