I posted this in the General auto section on value, and sadly, am seriously in need of even a moped or scooter and funds.

This is a very good copy of the Jan. 1966 program for the Chicago Baseball Writers' annual Diamond Dinner honoring baseball greats, and it has been signed by 21 baseball stars of the era including Mickey Mantle, Billy Williams, Minnie Minoso and many more. (The dinner was discontinued in the early 1990s.) The 20-page program, counting outer covers in heavier stock, is tight with no tears but some edgewear and finger staining. The signatures are on the front and back covers, mostly, with some inside. They include, in addition to the three mentioned: W.D. Eckert, then the Commissioner of Baseball, and Lee MacPhail, a future commissioner; Ted Abernathy of the Cubs; Jim (Mudcat) Grant of the Minnesota Twins; Gabby Hartnett, Cubs; Johnny Klippstein, Cubs; Glenn Beckert, Cubs; Frank Howard, Washington Senators; Charlie Grimm, former Cubs player and manager; and Leo Durocher, the new manager of the Cubs at that time. Also, on the inside cover there are the autographs of three former members of football's Chicago Bears: Ronnie Bull, Bill George and Joe Marconi. This is a great piece of sports history, especially Chicago sports history.

this piece has a MUCH nicer Eckert than these scans show, tho still light and all the rest. Plus, Bill George is a pretty valuable football sig too.
