1911 World Series Bender-Mathewson Game One postcard
I added this postcard to my Chief Bender collection this week from Brockelman Auctions (I highly recommend Scott and his customer service). The same one was previously sold in an REA auction. I can find no other reference to this postcard, has anyone else seen this postcard anywhere else? It appears to have been issued by Hallock's in Elmira, NY although Underwood might have licensed the postcard to other regional merchants for advertisers.
The postcard specifically relates to Game One. Bender lost that game, but won three other games in the Series. Do postcards exist for the other games? As a Bender collector I would love to see them if they exist. Last edited by T206Jim; 04-01-2016 at 06:09 PM.
