Some time ago a 1922 Giants ball was bought for me. I've seen the ball posted here before. It was bought for me on ebay some time later.
I'm used to collecting cards, but autographs are new to me. I understand clubhouse signatures vs forgeries... After doing some very light research, I'm confused. The Mcgraw definitely looks clubhouse, the jennings looks close to some of his autos, and the others are all over the map. I'm not sure about a motive for possibly forging an entire team ball as single signed balls are more valuable. (Plus it seems a stretch to shellack a ball and add notations) I could understand an entire clubhouse ball, although I'm hoping it's not. If anyone has some thoughts or advice they would be welcomed. Hoping to find out the ball is mostly genuine even if jennings and mcgraw are clubhouse. Feel free to email me at tlwise12@aol.com Thanks Travis |
