Hi Sam,

These are very interesting postcards. I have the one on the right--Mantle relaxing with his bat held in both hands. I also have a couple of different images with a similar look and feel. I have never seen them catalogued anywhere, and they do not appear in what I believe to be one of the better Mantle postcard guides.

My hope when I purchased mine was that they were made in the 1960s. They do not necessarily appear to have been professionally cut--at least not mine--so they may not be a professionally produced item, so presumably they could have been released later.

I believe I paid about $25 for the one with Mantle holding the bat, to the extent that is helpful in placing a value. My others were around that price or a little less. The lack of info/proof keeps the prices down on them, as there is always a chance they are a modern fantasy piece.
