This beautiful bat has a crack in the handle and shows lots of game use. There are no inch marks on the knob, confirming that the bat was NOT a store model, and was issued to a professional player, almost certainly Jake Daubert himself. Many people are not aware that Daubert was a star player during the deadball era, winning National League batting titles in 1913 and 1914, and the Chalmers Award as the league's best player in 1914 while with Brooklyn. This bat dates to the early 1920's, when he played for the Reds. Ty Cobb is often credited as the inventor of the cork handle bat. $1000 delivered.
