Ok, thought I'd share this.
Basically what I am shooting for now is one pose of each major league player in the T206 set. I do not know if I am 100% accurate on this, but from the research I am doing I get 259 cards, 257 not including Wagner and Plank. Maybe somebody can confirm. Now, that is my goal for now, after this I might go for the 390 Major league set or the gusto (the big 5-2-0) I really see myself at this point going after a 257 card low grade set however (The 1955 topps project is on the back burner for now) One thing I've noticed about acquiring more and more cards, is not only are you adding to your monster number, which of course, is the point when set collecting. But, man I love how this is coming together when you sort the players by teams, with the team colors etc. Just amazing stuff. I know there is a handful of you folks that put your set together like that (in pages sorted by team) and for those who don't want their cards slabbed and people that go low grade, I really recommend having the cards all displayed like this. Here is a pic from my non-hall of famers, two pages displayed here from my collection. Certainly looks a lot better now that I am getting more cards. and I know there is some low grade cards here, trimmed and what not, but the way I look at it, who cares?, I firmly believe it comes down to the saying "collect what you like" ![]()
