Hi all,

I've been checking out this site for a while, but haven't posted anything. It's been a great resource for me so I figured I should introduce myself and maybe do a little posting.

My name is Justin (or JP). I started collecting in 1980 and became pretty obsessed as a kid. "Wes's Hall of Fame" in Bellflower, CA was my local shop. I had 500,000+ cards by the mid 80's and supported my college years by selling at small shows. Eventually I sold almost everything off except a couple boxes of top loaders that sat untouched in my closet for years. About 10 years ago I started slowly regaining some interest, then in 2012 I hit up the Baltimore National and got seriously hooked again.

Even though I'm now a Cardinals fan living in Missouri, it was growing up in SoCal listening to Vin Scully that got me interested in the history of the game. Because of that I'm mainly a Brooklyn type card collector (just got my '33 George C Miller Lefty O'Doul in the mail yesterday which I'm pretty excited about). I've also started branching out to collecting pins, pennants, photos, patches, etc.

I'm looking forward to learning about issues that I never knew existed and getting help identifying oddball stuff I pick up.

JP
