The other night I was looking through my T206 checklist. As I looked through the remaining names I need to purchase I kept thinking to myself that the Fred Clarke portrait will be the last card I buy to complete my set someday (I plan on completing the 520 card set someday). I decided on this because the Fred Clarke Batting pose was the first T206 card I owned...given to me by my dad. Somehow, it seems fitting to complete my set with the other Clarke card. A kind of "bookend" closure for the set.
So, I started to wonder....do any of you have a special card from a set (doesn't have to be T206) that you are waiting to purchase as "the last card needed"? Maybe it's because of cost or rarity or, like me, for personal reasons. What card do you hope to complete a set with (if any)? -- Andy |
