Do you care about year and markings?

My dad use to buy up different types by the dozen so that he would be prepared for signings, so players could sign balls appropriate to the league and years they played. Now that he is totally out of collecting I have his stuff and noticed that there are a few boxes of a dozen balls not signed. I would have to pull them out to check markings,
