I think this is actually a little bit of topps mistake too. The card was mislabeled by them. Check this post from the archive: www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=84377
The image no longer shows up in the archived post but doing a little google image search you can see the game used bat card in question:  So the question remains - is that piece of wood in the card from a bat jimmy or Eddie collins used? Or just a piece if scrap wood somebody at topps found in the shed out back?
