Default My first post

My name is Chris and I collect a variety of things, mostly comic books. I actually have a collectible shop in my town of Winthrop called Junkdrawer. I do have a Facebook page and I've been there a bit over 3 years. I'm 47 and have memories dating back to the late 70s when I began buying cards, mostly hockey and baseball. As I got older I began setting up at shows both comic and card shows, heck even was selling beanie babies when they were on fire and quite marketable. My point is I've always been involved with cards, unfortunately I dumped tons of money into the hobby throughout the 90s, but since recovered and strayed away from cards and back to focus more on comics.
I used to take trips around the US before eBay and Internet to seek out my local players cards at these far away shops. Graf Collectibles was a great find of old Bruins hockey and even some shows I recall a guy from St Louis asking me who is this Tony Conigliaro you are buying a bunch of from me. Those days are gone and I'm not a $10 pack guy. These days though I do come Ito contact with many people looking to sell me a wide range of stuff. I always say comics, cards, coins etc as I go down the line. A few recent finds have gotten me back trying to complete sets and attending shows. I seen some familiar faces from the past and I'm glad to still know there is a pulse in the market. I did just recently, like last week come across an original owner collection of baseball cards. A friend of a friends father that recently past had a nice lot of cards dating 1933 and up. I have them up on eBay trying to recoup some of my investment and today I sent a handful to PSA to be graded. I wanted my first post to be a friendly hello, rather than a spammy sales thread from a noob. So Hi
Chris
