Picked this 9 photo lot up at a flea market recently... very cool images with a very rustic stadium with a very interesting old clapboard construction... Jerseys are pinstriped with a fancy scripted "w", and several players have an american flag on the left shoulder. hats are white with piping and black bills. What pulled me toward this lot was the photo of a lanky gent with arms would reach his knees if hanging at his sides... on top of it all, he is holding the bat as if he has never held one before... the guy just looks a heck of a lot like Walter Johnson to me... the one gotcha on this lot was that I researched the senators jerseys on Dressed to the nines and couldn't find a jersey hat combo that matched... Some of the photos are with someone in the navy, near palm trees... perhaps these could be barnstorming photos in the pre-season? from a weiser barnstorming team later in Walter's Life?
That said, I am selling the lot as is... Maybe i'm missing something, and maybe i'm not... Regardless, its a very cool early baseball photo lot...
