To put the set together from scratch in Ex-ExMt condition I am guessing is going to be $750-$1,000. Based on the purchase you listed it might be toward the high end. Here are a few suggestions:
Do not But it Now on Ebay. 95% of them are rip-offs. Look for free shipping sellers. Try to buy a starter set / lot to get you started. Ideally this lot will have a nice group of high #s as well as some stars. You might want to do this 2-3 times. You will have some duplicates, but this will give you some sale and / or trade bait and minimize your searches of single cards. Ultimately you will have to search for single cards at some point, but that is where it can get expensive. Good luck. I have always loved that '72 set.
