This little 7/8" x 7/8" pin (center, below) has companion pieces from the Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers. I'm guessing 50's but I have seen the original display card and the baseball player on that looks even earlier...maybe 40's.
What is cool to me is that this figure made its way onto a NY Giants pennant and, later, an SF Giants pennant. I love when the "evolution" is clear. Another kinda interesting thing is, when I dug out the SF pennant for this crummy scan ![]()
