I wonder if this is the same guy...
Joseph Tijero, was a Top Prospect and top 50th nor cal player coming out of De Anza High School. Highly recruited by several major league teams. Drafted by the Mariners 36th pick overall in 1998 and reportedly signed a hefty contract. Went on to play AA Ball, right out of high school to the pros. Known for his great hitting and fielding.
