Sending beaters to a kid: A request

If this is a crazy idea let me know. The son of a friend, age 10, is obsessed with baseball--knows stats and stories going back to t206 days--and just starting to get interested in collecting vintage cards to go with hundreds of more recent ones. I have given him a couple of cards but I really have no beaters to speak of. I had idea of asking folks here to send one of your unwanted older pre-war cards to him--would also be fun for him to get mail from around the USA. Perhaps his parents wouldn't want to give out his address here, in which case they could be sent to me, and I would keep in your envelope and put in larger package (hopefully he would write thank you notes). I know we want to encourage younger generations so I thought this was nice idea--but if not, just say so. Or if you'd contribute, you can indicate that. Thanks. UPDATE: See my note below.
