I am new to the Net54 board and also new to collecting T-206 cards. Of course I collected cards when I was a kid, but got back into collecting in 1988 when my oldest son brought home a new pack Donruss cards. I am one of the original 1991 OBC collecting club members, over there I am known as “The Guru”, and yes I collect cards in ANY condition. Over the years I have completed my 1952 (no high numbers)-1992 Topps baseball run, and am very close to finishing my 1950s Bowman baseball sets too. During the 2012 National Convention in Baltimore I expanded my wantlist to include basketball hockey and football, and I’ve finished off basically everything 1970 and newer. So now I search for the 50s and 60s in these sports. I dabble in some non sports sets too.
A couple of times a year I’ll watch Ken Burns PBS series “Baseball”, and every time I do, I wonder why I don’t collect some cards from the early 1900s? Well, during this years National Convention in Chicago I began my quest. And the quest brings me here, where I have made some good buys, and am learning much about these T206 cards.
I bought a T206 reprint set and put them in 15 pocket sheets, and when I get an original T206, I replace the reprint. I have 146 original T206 and have 6 incoming in the mail, so I guess my “number” is 152 Frank

I attached a couple pictures of my T206 set including my first HOF member Chief Bender, an $8 mouse chewed beauty I purchased in Chicago this summer. I don’t know who the HOF members are, so I had to print HOF labels lol. Anyway, that’s me! Larry Tipton
