Newbie with a jersey auto question

I used to have an account with M&N before it was cool and used to get a bunch of jerseys signed. If you spread the jersey out and held it tight, the item was easy to sign for players and it turned out perfectly. No difference in signature. Anyone who got Joe D in person knows how he could pretty much ruin any item if given the opportunity. Seems funnier now than it was then. The others guys are right on the money with the forged Mantle jersey talk. Hope this helps explain jerseys sigs.
