Yes, exactly. If he would have subtracted 3 cents then we would not have really noticed? (Wal-Mart - been, there and done that) He actually added 3 cents to make the listing jump out and be noticed. The point I was making about Wal-Mart is they wanted to differentiate and they did by putting a bevy of different numbers on the sale signs. It wasn't so much the 3 cents difference in savings as it was they started making everyone notice their prices as they were different than all the other retailers. Consumers noticed. Not to dive too deep into this, but if I were a retailer today, I think I would try the Probstein approach to get noticed. LOL
