Here is yet another snapshot of Jim Tobin taken while playing for the Boston Braves. Tobin threw one official no-hitter as well as an unofficial no hitter (called after 5 innings) in 1944.
An interesting side note is that in his 9 inning no-hitter on April 27th, 1944 he also hit two HR's. Tobin hit 17 HR's in his short career. The guy could swing it! Just curious if anyone recognizes the ballpark in the background? PLMK-thanks! Last edited by Scott Garner; 11-25-2012 at 06:14 PM. |
