So I finally heard back from the seller
here is his email:
Hi, My autographed New York Yankees team ball is not on ebay anymore, but it's still available for sale. My usual schedule has been changed and I had to go to Spain to take care of some business and that's why I closed my auction. The final price for the ball is US $ 4,000.00 including all the shipping costs and insurance. Also I want to let you know that you will have the opportunity to receive and inspect the ball before you actually pay for it. HOWEVER- OF ALL THE PIX HE SENT, THEY AGAIN ARE STOCK AUCTION HOUSE PHOTOS, NONE OF THE BALL IN HIS HAND AS I REQUESTED. I'M GOING TO KEEP GOING ALONG FOR THE RIDE AND I'LL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED, I'M VERY CURIOUS HOW I CAN RECEIVE THE BALL W/O PAYING FOR IT. THAT'S A NEW ONE.
