Bought my first t206 Downey Fielding probably in the late 80's early 90's just so I would have an old card. Didn't catch the fever.... must not have been many available in my area ?
Fast forward to my next t206 : Matty Black Cap October 2009. Summer of '09 I hadn't bought a card or thought much about them in over 10 years, got the urge to buy a couple of packs at Target, Picked upper deck Goudey and Topps Allen and Ginter, started looking around the internet, found this site, read "The Celebrant", started looking at Matty cards..... Right now I'm at 518/520 and can't see myself going past 520. I plan to slowly upgrade my set from "poor/fair/good" to "good" with a nice variety of less common backs.
